The Gel-E Donut, developed in conjunction with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, helps to alleviate pressure caused by prolonged immobility or other conditions where frequent repositioning is contraindicated. It not only helps to minimize skin breakdown of immobilized patients but also may be used to aid in the healing process if a sore or ulcer is present. The extremely soft outer bag, combined with the unique gel formulation, provides a soft yet supportive surface.
